For too long, now, celebrities (and celebrity kids) have made fashion statements by never repeating an outfit, at least not in public. But times, they are a-changing. It’s about time ‘use and throw’ was a thing of the past, and garments actually held value for those who wear them. Which is why we absolutely ❤️ these celebrities who decided to dig into their mom’s closets, instead of calling in on their favourite designers. Here are some iconic fashion moments. On repeat.

For her wedding to Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan wore the bridal sharara her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore wore to her own wedding in 1969, refitted and re-tailored by Ritu Kumar. The sharara had previously been worn by Begum Sajida Sultan, Sharmila Tagore's mother-in-law for her wedding in 1939. The beauty of a 100 year-old heirloom!

15-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (left) wore a re-tailored version of one of mom Angelina Jolie’s (right) Dior dresses, also to the Eternals premiere. Jolie had been seen wearing this magnificent dress at the press conference of her movie Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in 2019.
