A minimalist gender-neutral brand, No Na Mé, founded by Smruti Mathisekaran in 2020, creates fashion accessories with a geometrical aesthetic. Their products are DIY and multi-functional, breaking away from stereotypes, and are designed to be an expression of individuality. Awarded the India’s Best Design award by India’s Best Design Project 2020 for their jewellery collection, this exceptional brand is giving voice to freedom of choice, expression and identity.

No Na Mé creates pieces limted pieces but most of them are multi-functional, meaning less consumption and, therefore, less waste in the landfills. The accessories are made of 18k or 24k gold-plated brass and cowhide leather. Cowhide leather is typically a byproduct of the meat industry, which means it’s leather made of skin that would have been thrown away as waste, were it not used as leather, making it a green choice. However, there’s no information whatsoever about the brand’s supply chain, so it’s hard to tell how ethical the specific materials in this case are.



No Na Mé is very evidently a small business with a really tiny scale of production, and no credits to anyone but the founder. In all fairness, their journey began only in 2020, so it may well be a one-person team, but without any allusion to the supply chain or the production process, there is no transparency or guarantee of ethical production processes, creating a massive grey area.

So the products last longer and are utilized to their maximum potential. However, their payment gateways are still under process and orders can only be placed via Instagram, making it tedious. But this is clearly a brand with promise. It's for the bold and fearless, with a classic, everlasting style quotient.
